I penned another article for @theipaper (link in bio), which is out today. It’s a bit of a follow up to my last piece about not having kids.
Once again, it feels risky to put things like this out there - but it feels riskier not to.
I hope it inspires meaningful conversation between parents and the child free. Writing it made me recognise the ways I have perhaps not communicated well with my friends with kids, and ways I feel I’ve let them down. A bit tough to recognise, but I’m glad for the reflection.

It’s been one month and 11 days since finishing Geriatric Millennial @edfringe and I have so many people to thank. It was a great month and I still haven’t fully digested it. But I loved it!
Thank you to @thepleasance for programming me and the staff for looking after me. Performing with you was a dream come true.
Thanks to Gemma Coles, my glorious tech op who was with me every day bringing the good vibes, and my unexpected mascot Kevin the Pom!
All the gratitude in the world to my PR @julesnh19 - you helped me get better every step of the way. You’re the best!
Kudos and joy to tech marvel extraordinaire @tomtheclutz - you’re a genius and I wouldn’t have had a show ending without you!

Yesterday, an article I penned for @theipaper came out, (link in bio). I was very nervous about coming out with a strong statement about my life and situation. Given the pressure on women to have children no matter what, it wasn’t dissimilar to my experience coming out as #bi to be honest. Scary. Vulnerable. And ultimately so rewarding. Once again, my community has shown up.
It’s been so incredible to receive messages from women, with and without children, sharing about their experiences, their pain, their difficulty. It can all feel hard sometimes. And it can feel even harder expressing it because whatever our situation, we don’t want to sound ungrateful.
I feel grateful to be in a position to talk about a very nuanced thing. And that’s exactly what it is - nuanced. I’m grateful that we’re starting the conversation - and that I’m being made aware of people who have already been having the conversation for quite awhile (looking at you @syshma and @rubywarrington).
Thank you for the sisterhood. For the conversation. For the love.
Don’t worry - I’ll get back to writing jokes about butts and stuff very soon. 🍑
But right now I’m grateful.
